Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Austria Q1 2025

The first quarter of 2025 saw varying performance trends among the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on a unified platform in Austria. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps showcased diverse patterns in weekly downloads and active user metrics.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 4.1K in early January and reaching approximately 5.3K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at nearly 104K at the start of the quarter and stabilizing around 88K by the end.

Bolt: Request a Ride maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, starting at 6K and ending at 4.2K. Active users showed a similar steadiness, with numbers hovering around 55K towards the end of March.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery saw a decline in weekly downloads, beginning at about 1.6K and dropping to 750 by the end of the quarter. However, active user numbers remained consistent, averaging around 54K throughout the period.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced a modest increase in downloads, starting at 727 and rising to 526. Active user numbers showed a positive trend, increasing from 7K to 7.7K by the end of March.

Careem – rides, food & more initially had low download figures, beginning at 477 and declining to 250. Active users showed a slight fluctuation, peaking at 1.2K in early February and settling around 770 by the end of the quarter.
